QR Code Scanner is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
We collect no personal data. The app does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.
The app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
When you choose to scan a QR code from a photo, the selected image is processed on your device and immediately discarded. No images are stored or uploaded.
Your scan history is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is synced to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. We have no access to your iCloud data.
The app may request access to Contacts or Calendar only when you choose to save a scanned contact card or event. This data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessed by us.
The app uses no third-party SDKs, services, or APIs. All functionality is built using native Apple frameworks.
If we update this policy, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
